Kitchen Rush: Understaffed

Around the world One kitchen per cuisine

Spin the globe and pick a kitchen. Asia is open; the Mediterranean and Latin America are next.

Every chef works on their own. You just decide who works where, with one finger.

  1. Drag a chef onto a zonePick them up in the kitchen and drop them on a coloured zone. They walk over and get on with it.
  2. Tap to openOnce every chef has a zone, tap anywhere. 3, 2, 1, 始め! and the first guests walk in.
  3. Keep them movingAn order stuck on an empty zone? A green line shows who to send. The rush moves; so should your brigade.

The kitchens Asia first, more on the way

The Hana kitchen at full tilt, with the kaiten sushi belt running past the counter

Asia First kitchen

Hana, a little sushi and noodle bar. Rice in the cooker, fish on the board, broth on the boil, and a sushi belt that never stops.

Mediterranean Coming soon

The next stop on the globe. The kitchen is still being built.

Latin America Coming soon

Further round the globe. Join the list and you'll hear when it opens.

Every kitchen has its own stations, its own dishes and its own kind of chaos.

Each one is quick at a station or two and clumsy at another. Put them where they shine, until the rush says otherwise.

Outside the window A street that never sits still

Hana from above in the middle of a shift: chefs on their zones, and behind it a street of shops, a Hana Mart truck, taxis and passers-by
Lunch on a busy street.
The same street in the rain: umbrellas up, the road wet, the kitchen dry under its roof
And when it rains, out come the umbrellas.

Taxis, delivery bikes, lanterns, the odd duck. Guests walk in off the street, and some days they bring the rain with them.

Questions Good to know

When does Kitchen Rush: Understaffed come out?

It's in testing now. Join the list and you'll get one email on the day it's out.

Do I cook?

No. You're the head chef. Every chef works on their own; you decide who works where, by dragging them to a station.

How much does it cost?

It will be free to play, with ads.

Which kitchens are there?

The first is Hana, an Asian kitchen with sushi, ramen and gyoza. Mediterranean and Latin American kitchens are on the way.

Can I play with a friend?

Co-op is coming in an update. The list hears first.

Is it good for kids and families?

It's a cartoon kitchen with no violence, and almost no text: orders, chefs and stations are pictures and colours.

What do I get for joining the list?

An email on launch day and when a new kitchen opens, nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and your address is never shared.
